William Wilberforce and his group of friends, dubbed the “Clapham Group,” led the very difficult and successful decades-long fight to end the slave trade in the British Empire. What’s more, Wilberforce lived to see slaves emancipated throughout the empire. But they did so much more, and how they did it is a model of Christian unity, vision, passion, love, and strategy.
